BE PART OF A DYNAMIC TEAM OF PEOPLE PASSIONATE FOR LEADING TEENS YOUTH TO CHRIST!

There are now EIGHT categories of Youth Ministry:

1. YOUTH MINISTERS
Youth Ministers will plan Youth Events for the 2012-2013 School Year such as overnight retreats, day retreats, etc. Applicants must be Grade 9 or over by September 2012.

2. YOUNG ADULT MINISTERS
Young Adult Ministers will plan Young Adult events for the 2012-2013 School Year such as overnight retreats, day retreats, etc. Applicants must be 19 years or over by September 2012.

3. TEACHING MINISTERS
Teaching Ministers will oversee next year’s Confirmation Program including a 3-day weekend retreat at Teen Ranch, form the Confirmation Teachers, facilitate the classes and plan the Confirmation Liturgy. Applicants must be Grade 10 or older.

4. SERVICE MINISTERS
Service Ministers will plan service opportunities for the 2012-2013 School Year. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

5. YOUTH MISSIONARIES
Youth Missionaries will focus on evangelizing High School Students by forming small faith study groups and challenging them to a deeper encounter with Jesus Christ. Applicants must be Grade 9 or older and a student at St. Elizabeth High School.

6. MUSIC MINISTERS
Music Ministry will focus on providing music for Youth Events such as retreats, monthly Eucharistic adorations, etc. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
7. TECH MINISTERS
Working with Kevin Tablizo, our Media Co-Ordinator, this ministry will focus on photo and video editing Church events and maintaining the Parish Website. Applicants must be Grade 9 or older.

8. ADULT CHAPERONES
Adult Chaperones will be responsible for supervising overnight youth activities such as Youth Retreats, overnight trips, etc. Chaperones must be 19 years or over.

Those young and young at heart are welcome to apply! 

APPLYING FOR YOUTH MINISTRY

In order to apply, you need to:

1) Read and reflect on Blessed Pope John Paul II’s Speech to youth.

2) In light of John Paul’s speech to youth, reflect on the following questions. Limit your answers to fifty words per question:

i. Who is Jesus?
ii. What is Youth Ministry?
iii. Why do YOU want to be a part of StJW’s Youth Ministry?

3) Submit your reflection with your Name and Phone Number either in person or by email to [email protected]

4) You will be contacted for a one on one chat.

Please submit your applications by May 31, 2012.
