Fr. Mario's Christmas Homily 2013
Christmas is a celebration of love being born from the unexpected. God's ways are not our ways. As the light of Christ shines through the words and actions of people who are powerless, people would suffer for others who no one else would expect to make a difference, yet they do.
The power of forgiveness is, in a deep way, what we celebrate in Christmas. Our Lord came to us in a most unexpected way. The creator became as one of the created, the Word became flesh. Jesus Christ is the unexpected Messiah.
